Magenta IS a color

Today I stumbled across this link which claims that Magenta is not a color.

I don't think that information is correct if you use a common definition of color.

Our eyes are not really capable of seeing all wavelengths, even in the visible spectrum.
We only have 3 color receptors, each of which responds to a different range of wavelengths.

The reason we see red and green as yellow is not because the wavelength of yellow happens to be between the two, but it is because with our limited color receptors, we aren't able to see the difference between 'red and green' and 'yellow'. Yellow will stimulate both the green and the red receptors a little, so it looks the same as if green and red light stimulate these receptors.

With red and blue, this isn't the case. Green light (the color in-between) would stimulate mostly our green receptors, whereas red and blue light stimulates the red and blue receptors, but not the green receptor.
